College of Materials Science and Engineering (CMSE) has  constructed a developed teaching and research framework, including  Fujian Engineering and Technology Research Center of Functional Polymeric Materials Engineering Technology , Fujian Technology Development Base of Functional Materials , Key laboratory of advanced technology for ecological environment material of Fujian Province, and Institute for Materials Research of Fuzhou University. In the last five years, more than 100 research projects have been undertaken, among which 17 are national and 33 are provincial level, and others are collaboration projects with enterprises. The accumulated research funding has amounted to 26 Million RMB, and there has been 300 SCI/SCIE academic papers published and 165 issued patents in sum. Besides, CMSE has won four prizes in Fujian Province Award of Science & Technology Progress. Moreover, 4 patents have been transferred to 3 companies of polymeric and plastic Materials etc.
